Hertha Berlin capacity cut to less than 40,000 against Augsburg

Berlin (dpa) - Hertha Berlin have had their capacity cut to 39,738 fans for Saturday's Bundesliga match with Augsburg after reaching an agreement with city authorities amid increasing coronavirus infections.
Originally Hertha had hoped to have the stadium's maximum capacity of 74,000 available under '2G' (vaccinated or recovered) rules.
The city council said that for major events only 50 per cent of the capacity over 5,000 could be used, a rule which will apply to other events from December 1.< ...
