DBN financing solar power plant in Namib Desert

WINDHOEK, 12 MAY (NAMPA) – The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) signed a N.dollar 193 million agreement with Anirep Aussenkjer Solar One, a start-up company, to finance a new solar power generation plant near the Kahn substation in the Namib Desert.
The plant will supply 20MW to NamPower’s Kahn substation, from which it will be distributed to homes and businesses.
