Geingob disappointed by unfair COVID-19 vaccine distributionWritten by Maria Kandjungu on 07 April 2021.
WINDHOEK, 07 APR (NAMPA) – President Hage Geingob has expressed his disappointment with the way in which the COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed, saying the current system points to a form of vaccine apartheid.
Geingob was speaking during a virtual event to commemorate World Health Day on Tuesday.
“Namibia is one of the countries to have paid early for vaccines. To date, Namibia has not yet received anything and has relied on COVID-19 vaccines from friends such as India and China,” the president said.
