WINDHOEK, 27 NOV (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Health and Social Services has called for calm as they closely monitor the reported new COVID-19 variant detected in South Africa, Botswana and Hong Kong.
The B.1.1.529 variant, now named Omicron by the World Health Organisation, was first reported in South Africa and has been classified as a variant of concern.
