Swapo retains Okaku Constituency with Fillipus

WINDHOEK, 18 MAR (NAMPA) – The Swapo Party has retained the Okaku Constituency with its candidate David Fillipus winning 3 195 of the votes cast in the regional council by-elections held in the Oshana Region on Friday.
This was announced in a media statement from the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) on Saturday.
The by-elections were necessitated after the death of Hannu Gerson Kapenda in December 2022, who was the councillor for Okaku Constituency on a Swapo ticket.
