Bayern recruit Nils Schmadtke as new chief scout

Munich (dpa) - Bayern Munich appointed Nils Schmadtke as their new chief scout on Tuesday, days after parting company with Markus Pilawa. A club statement said the 35-year-old starts work immediately. He is the son of former Cologne, Wolfsburg and Liverpool sporting director Jörg Schmadtke.
