Over 5,000 arrested for drug-related crimes in 8 months in Myanmar

YANGON, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have arrested a total of 5,286 suspects for drug offenses between Jan. 1 and Aug. 31 this year, the state-run media The Mirror reported on Wednesday. The suspects were apprehended in 3,832 cases during this period, the report said.
