Telecom Italia (TIM) said Wednesday it had received a non-binding 700 million euros bid for the purchase of its Sparkle submarine cable unit from Italy's finance ministry and Spanish fund Asterion. "The proposal recognizes an enterprise value of 700 million euros for Sparkle, will be valid until October 15, and will be submitted for examination by TIM's Board of Directors," the telecom said in a statement. ams/cw ...
