German industry association cuts electric car production forecast

Berlin (dpa) - German automotive industry experts on Friday significantly lowered their forecast for the country's electric car production in 2024 in view of the current weak demand. According to the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), annual sales of only 372,000 pure battery cars are expected this year, 29% fewer than in the previous year.
