Dutchman van Wonderen appointed Schalke coach

Gelsenkirchen, Germany (dpa) - German second division club Schalke confirmed Dutchman Kees van Wonderen as their new coach on Sunday, after his daughters had jumped the gun from a stadium coffee stall. Former Feyenoord player Van Wonderen, 55, is a former Dutch under-17 and U18 national team coach and on club level was last in charge of Go Ahead Eagles and Heerenveen.
