Berlin (dpa) - People in Germany retired at the age of 64.4 years on average in 2023, according to the annual report of the German pension insurance system released on Monday. The report says the average retirement age has increased from 62.3 in 2000 to 64.4 in 2023. One reason for this is the gradual raising of the retirement age to 67 years by 2031.
