Spokesman: Drone downed by German warship off Lebanon was armed

Berlin (dpa) - A drone intercepted by a German warship off the coast of Lebanon on Thursday was armed and exploded, a military spokesman said in Berlin. The spokesman for Germany's armed forces, the Bundeswehr, said "an explosive charge was set off" as the drone was downed in the "immediate vicinity" of the Ludwigshafen am Rhein corvette.
