Outsider Anmaat foiled French raider Caldangan and Charyn cemented his status as the season's top miler on British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday. Caldangan started 6-4 favourite for the Champion Stakes but drawn on the inside rail suffered severe traffic problems in the straight.
