Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of a BRICS summit in Russia, Chinese state news agency Xinhua said. China and Iran are political and economic partners, in part due to their stance on the war in Ukraine.
