Minibus overturns in Kavango West, leaving four injured

NKURENKURU, 24 OCT (NAMPA) - Four people are in critical condition while several others were injured when a minibus overturned between Rundu and Nkurenkuru on Wednesday.
According to Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga of the Namibian Police Force, the incident occurred around 15h00 at Sivara village in the Kapako Constituency.
The left rear tyre of the Nissan Microbus with Rundu registration and 10 occupants burst and the driver, who was licensed, lost control of the vehicle. It overturned, causing serious injuries to four occupants. The vehicle also had significant damage.
Muronga said the four injured passengers were transferred from Bunya health centre to the Rundu State Hospital for medical attention.
Police investigations continue.
