German doctor convicted in death of girl at dental practice

Frankfurt (dpa) - A German anaesthesiologist has been convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison for injecting children at a dental practice with a contaminated anaesthetic. The court in Frankfurt ruled on Friday that the 67-year-old doctor acted recklessly when he committed numerous hygiene errors, although the judge said he did not intend to kill the children.
