Decomposed body discovered at Mungomba village

NKURENKURU, 06 NOV (NAMPA) – A decomposed body of a male person was discovered at Mungomba Village in the Mpungu Constituency of the Kavango West region on Tuesday.
According to the Namibian Police Force (NamPol's) Kavango West Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga the body was discovered around 12h40 by a community member who alerted the police.
The body, he said was identified by the relatives as that of Petrus Hausiku.
“It is alleged that the deceased went missing on Sunday, 03 November 2024 but no case of the missing person was registered with the police,” Muronga said.
No injuries were observed on the body and his remains were taken to the Nkurenkuru Police Mortuary for an autopsy to be conducted.
Police investigations continue.
