Woman allegedly assaulted by brother at Tjoha village

NKURENKURU, 07 NOV, (NAMPA)- The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in Kavango West Region are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 53-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by her brother on Tuesday.
According to NamPol Chief Inspector, Raimbert Muronga, the incident occurred at around 17h00 at Tjoha village.
It is alleged that the suspect used an unknown object and assaulted the sister numerous times, causing serious open injuries to the victim's body.
The suspect evaded arrest after fleeing the village and is yet to be arrested.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
