Malaysia's industrial production index grows 3.9 pct in Q3

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's industrial production index (IPI) increased 3.9 percent year-on-year in the third quarter, official data showed Friday. The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the uptick was driven by manufacturing sector growth of 5.8 percent. The electricity sector also posted a growth of 5.1 percent.
