Chemnitz, Nova Gorica and Gorizia take baton as EU culture capitals

Vienna (dpa) - The eastern German city of Chemnitz and the towns of Nova Gorica and Gorizia on both sides of the Italian-Slovenian border have taken up the baton as European Capitals of Culture for 2025. The official handover took place in the town of Bad Ischl in Austria, which this year shared the title with Bodø in Norway and Tartu in Estonia, organizers announced early on Saturday morning.
