Guangdong carbon market closes lower

GUANGZHOU, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 39.49 yuan (about 5.5 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Monday, 8.18 percent down from Friday at Guangzhou Emissions Exchange, the largest local carbon market in China. A total of 300 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Monday with a turnover of 11,847 yuan.
