Saudi Arabia announces 5 initiatives to enhance afforestation

RIYADH, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia on Tuesday announced five environmental initiatives in a bid to enhance biodiversity across the kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The five new initiatives feature a 60-million-U.S. dollar investment to boost afforestation efforts. Their goals include planting millions of trees and mangroves, distributing 300 million seeds, restoring degraded land, lowering air pollution, and improvin......
