Berlin (dpa) - The German Navy got key approval on Wednesday to expand its fleet with an order for four more Type 212CD-class submarines from parliament's Budget Committee. The submarine deal is expected to cost about ?4.7 billion ($4.9 billion) and adds on to an earlier 2021 order from the German Navy for two of the new diesel-electric submarines.
