Berlin (dpa) - Germany's landmark national transport ticket was extended for another year on Friday after opposition lawmakers joined Chancellor Olaf Scholz's minority government to pass a last-minute bill. The Deutschlandticket - a subsidized monthly pass valid on regional services nationwide introduced in May 2023 - has been a hit with German residents, with more than 13 million people signing up so far.
