U.S.-led coalition sends largest convoy to Syria since Assad's ouster

DAMASCUS, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- A convoy of 60 trucks from the U.S.-led coalition entered northeastern Syria on Monday, carrying weapons and logistical supplies to support allied forces, Al-Arabiya TV reported. The convoy, which crossed from Iraq via the al-Waleed border crossing, was said to be heading toward coalition bases in Syria's northeastern al-Hassakeh province and the eastern Deir al-Zour province, the report said.
