Lao police crack down on over 7,000 criminal cases in 2024

VIENTIANE, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Police across Laos handled a total of 7,350 criminal cases in 2024, of which 6,519 cases were resolved, mostly in relation to drug dealing and trafficking. More than half of the cases were drug-related, with 3,771 cases concerning the consumption, possession, sale or trafficking of drugs. According to a report from the Lao Ministry of Public Security on Saturday, 9,860 people were arrested during investigations......
