Munich (dpa) - German publicist Hans Deter Beck, who had been leading the country's renowned publishing house C. H. Beck since 1973, passed away in Munich on Friday, according to the publisher. Beck was 92 years old. Born April 9, 1932, Beck studied law and obtained an PhD before he began working at his father's publishing house in 1961, according to a statement released on Saturday.
