MOSCOW, January 8 (Sputnik) - The Ukrainian forces have lost nearly 13,000 troops and 46 tanks in the first week of 2025, according to Sputnik calculations based on data from the Russian Defense Ministry. According to the ministry's briefings, from January 1 to 7, Kiev lost up to 9,700 troops in the special military operation area and around 2,975 troops during combat in the Kursk region.
