Sugar futures close higher

ZHENGZHOU, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Sugar futures closed higher Friday in daytime trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE). The most active sugar contract for May 2025 delivery gained 7 yuan (97.37 U.S. cents) to close at 5,891 yuan per tonne. On Friday, the total trading volume for six listed sugar futures contracts on the ZCE was 285,176 lots with a turnover of 16.76 billion yuan.
