Shell's write-down not impacting Namibia's development for oil: Alweendo

WINDHOEK, 10 JAN (NAMPA) –Mines and Energy Minister Tom Alweendo on Friday said Shell’s write-down for an offshore oil discovery will not significantly impact Namibia’s development of oil and gas.
This follows Shell’s announcement that it will write down around US.dollars 400 million (approximately N.dollars 7.5 billion) over an oil discovery offshore Namibia that it deemed commercially unviable.
