Amazon orders 200 electric heavy goods vehicles from Daimler Truck

Munich (dpa) - Online retailer Amazon announced in Munich on Tuesday that it has ordered 200 electric heavy goods vehicles from Germany's Daimler Truck for use on the European market starting this year. More than 140 of the trucks will operate in the United Kingdom, and more than 50 in Germany. Amazon currently has 38 electric trucks in operation in Europe.
