Prime Minister Francois Bayrou on Tuesday revised upwards France's 2025 public sector deficit target and cut the forecast for growth in his first policy speech to parliament. Bayrou said the deficit was now expected to come in at 5.4 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), up from a previous target of five percent, while economic growth was projected at 0.9 percent for the year, down from a 1.1 percent target by the previous government. jh/as/rl......
