Berlin (dpa) - The German government is to put up additional funds of at least ?1.9 million ($2 million) for the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, a spokesman for Cultural Commissioner Claudia Roth said on Monday. The extra money will increase funding for the festival, also known as the Berlinale, to ?12.8 million and is aimed at boosting its 75th edition and the work of new artistic director Tricia Tuttle.
