German economy minister says EU must be ready to fight Trump tariffs

Berlin (dpa) - German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Tuesday that the European Union should be open to talks with new US President Donald Trump, but shouldn't be intimidated into silence if Trump follows through with threats of new tariffs. EU countries should act with an outstretched hand towards the Trump administration, "but not allow our hand to be slapped away without limits," Habeck said at a conference on energy in Berlin organized......
