Putin Calls Russian Budget Deficit in 2024 at 1.7% of GDP Acceptable

MOSCOW, January 22 (Sputnik) - Russia's budget deficit in 2024 at the level of 1.7% of the GDP is acceptable, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday. "According to estimates, the deficit last year amounted to 1.7% of GDP, which is an acceptable level, especially against the background of the state of affairs in the public finances of some so-called developed economies," Putin said during a videoconference meeting on economic issues....
