1 dead, 1 injured in western Melbourne house fire

SYDNEY, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- A man died and the other man was injured in a house fire in western suburbs of Melbourne, the capital city of Australia's state of Victoria. Emergency services were called to the house in Deer Park, about 16 km west of central Melbourne, at about 12 p.m. local time on Thursday after the fire started in a bedroom, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
