New Wildfire Covers Over 9,200 Acres in California - Fire Protection Department

MOSCOW, January 23 (Sputnik) - A new wildfire has broken out in California, covering over 9,200 acres, the state Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported. The Hughes fire has started on January 22 in the northern Los Angeles County community of Castaic, and has by now covered 9,269 acres, the Department said, adding that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
