Austria posts record tourism numbers in 2024

VIENNA, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Austria's tourism sector achieved its strongest year on record in 2024, with overnight stays reaching 154.29 million and surpassing pre-pandemic levels, Statistics Austria said on Friday. The alpine nation saw a 2.1 percent increase in overnight stays compared to 2023, exceeding its previous record from 2019 by 1 percent, according to a statement from Statistics Austria.
