592 migrants intercepted off Libyan coast over past week: IOM

TRIPOLI, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Tuesday said that 592 migrants were intercepted off the coast of Libya in the past week. IOM said in a statement that from January 26 to February 1, 592 migrants, including 64 women and 33 children, were intercepted and returned to Libya, adding that seven migrants went missing and 21 bodies were retrieved off the Libyan coast.
