Tank maker KDNS takes over Alstom rail car plant in Germany's Görlitz

Dresden, Germany (dpa) - The Franco-German armaments group KNDS is taking over French rail vehicle manufacturer Alstom's factory in the eastern German city of Görlitz. Executives from both companies signed the deal on Wednesday while joined by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at an event in Görlitz. A total of around 580 of the Görlitz factory's approximately 700 current employees are to be kept on at KNDS or Alstom. The deal means the end of a 17......
