Trump Says Nippon Steel Agreed to Invest ‘Heavily’ in US Steel Instead of Acquisition

WASHINGTON, February 9 (RIA Novosti) – President Donald Trump said during a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba that the Japanese steel manufacturer Nippon Steel has chosen to invest in US Steel rather than pursue an acquisition. "About US Steel, they [Nippon] will be looking at an investment rather than a purchase," Trump said on Friday. "They [Nippon] have agreed to invest heavily in US Steel, as opposed to own it......
