European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday said ending Baltic power links to Russia marked "freedom from threats and blackmail" as Estonia, Latvia and Lithunia joined the EU power grid. "Today we connect the Baltic states to the continental European electricity grid. We're cutting the last remaining links with Russia. Freedom from threats and blackmail, at last.
