Moroccan navy intercepts 41 migrants bound for Canary Islands

RABAT, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan navy intercepted 41 sub-Saharan migrants off the Atlantic coast, the official Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) reported on Tuesday, citing a military statement. A navy patrol vessel intercepted a boat en route to the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off northwestern Africa, during an operation 118 km northwest of Tantan on Monday, according to the statement.
