MOSCOW, February 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russia in 2024 maintained the position of the world's second-largest gold producer with an output of about 330 tonnes, according to RIA Novosti calculations of government data. Since 2022, Russia has not published absolute figures of gold production. In 2021, the country's Finance Ministry reported that primary production of the metal amounted to 313.8 tonnes.
