An independent inquiry opened Monday into the deadliest migrant shipwreck in the Channel in which at least 27 people died in 2021 when their inflatable boat capsized as they tried to reach Britain from France. The tragedy on November 24, 2021 sparked tensions between London and Paris over who should do more to prevent such disasters, and the UK inquiry is aimed at considering "what lessons can be learned" and to make any relevant recommendations.......
