London (PA Media/dpa) - King Charles III has written privately to Mark Carney as he was sworn in as Canada's new prime minister, it is understood. Carney swore allegiance to Charles, who is King of Canada, during the ceremony in Ottawa on Friday and paid tribute to the country's "proud British heritage" in a speech afterwards.
