European stocks close on mixed note ahead of Fed announcement

Frankfurt (dpa-AFX) - European stocks turned in a mixed performance on Wednesday, with investors largely making cautious moves ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy announcement. Geopolitical tensions and worries about the outlook for growth due to US tariffs and threats of more levies weighed on sentiment. The pan European Stoxx 600 closed 0.19% up. The UK's FTSE 100 edged up 0.02% and France's CAC 40 gained 0.7%. Germany's DAX ended down 0.4%,......
