MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - Israel, through Egyptian intermediaries, presented to Palestinian movement Hamas a two-stage plan to free hostages from the Gaza Strip, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported, citing unnamed informed Egyptian sources. According to the agency, Israel's plan assumes that in the first stage Hamas will free 11 hostages and hand over the bodies of 16 of the dead, after which a 40-day truce will follow.
