German unemployment falls slightly in March as economy struggles

Nuremberg, Germany (dpa) - The number of unemployed people in Germany fell in March by 22,000 compared to the previous month, to 2.967 million, according to official data released on Friday. This was 198,000 more unemployed than at the same time last year, according to the Federal Employment Agency. The unemployment rate in March was unchanged from February at 6.4%.
