Wall Street stocks slipped early Friday as a key gauge of underlying inflation came in hotter than expected, while investors brace for further tariffs by US President Donald Trump next week. Around 10 minutes into trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.2 percent to 42,233.99, as did the broad-based S&P 500 Index at 5,684.32.
